Risk Disclosure
Read this before trading
Trading stocks, options, crypto-assets and other instruments involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose some or all of the money you trade, and with margin, short selling or leverage you can lose more than you deposit. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
Automated trading risks
- Bots act on the rules and limits you set and can place, change or close orders without asking you again.
- Software defects, wrong settings, bad or delayed market data, internet or exchange outages, broker errors and rejected or duplicated orders can cause losses or missed exits.
- Market conditions change; a rule that worked before may stop working without warning.
- You remain responsible for monitoring your account and for every order placed with your credentials.
Risk controls are not guarantees
Stop orders, take-profit orders, daily loss limits, drawdown halts, pauses and position limits reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. A stop order becomes a market order when triggered and may fill far from its price in fast or gapping markets, after trading halts, or outside regular hours. Limits depend on accurate data and working connections.
Hypothetical and paper results
Hypothetical or simulated performance results have inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Because the trades have not been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact of market factors such as lack of liquidity, slippage and fees. Simulated trading programs are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. Paper trading uses simulated fills and does not involve real money; live results can differ materially, especially for less liquid instruments or larger orders.
Crypto-asset risks
- Crypto-asset prices are extremely volatile, trade 24 hours a day, and can fall sharply at any time, including when you are not watching.
- Crypto-asset exchanges are often lightly regulated or unregulated where they operate. An exchange can halt withdrawals, freeze accounts, change its rules, be hacked or become insolvent, and you may lose the assets held there. Deposit protection schemes usually do not apply.
- The Crypto Bot watches stops and targets itself; if it is stopped, offline or cannot reach the exchange, positions are not protected.
- Liquidity, spreads, minimum order sizes and fees differ by coin and exchange; orders can fill at worse prices than expected.
- Tax and reporting rules for crypto-assets differ by country and are your responsibility.
Signals, scores and AI
Signals, scores, regime indicators and AI-generated text are produced by models with known and unknown limitations. They can be wrong or out of date, and they are not advice or a prediction you should rely on.
Your obligations
You are responsible for complying with the rules that apply to you, including your broker's agreement, pattern-day-trader and margin rules, short-sale and settlement rules, market-abuse rules and tax reporting. Live trading is disabled by default and requires separate approval.
No guarantee
Past performance — real, paper or hypothetical — does not guarantee future results. the operator of WhoIsTrading does not guarantee any profit or protect you from loss.
